With CL7C specification bearings there is practically no running-in wear. As a hydrodynamic lubricant film in the roller end/flange contacts is established from the outset, there is virtually no loss of preload and the preload can be maintained at a constant high level throughout operation.

Four-row cylindrical roller bearings are used almost exclusively for the roll necks of rolling mill stands, calenders and roller presses. Their friction is low compared with other roller bearings. As they are normally mounted with an interference fit on the roll neck, they are particularly suitable for rolling mill applications where the rolling speed is high. The low bearing cross section allows fo r relatively large roll neck diameters in comparison with the roll diameter. Since very many rollers can be incorporated, the radial load carrying capacity is exceptionally high.

Four-row cylindrical roller bearings are only able to accommodate radial loads. They are therefo re mounted together with deep groove o r angular contact ball bearings, o r with tapered roller bearings, either radial or thrust designs, which take up the axial loads.
The four-row  cylindrical roller bearings are of separable design, that is to say, the ring or rings with integral flanges and the roller and cage assemblies can be mounted independently of the free rings, or all bearing components can be mounted separately. This considerably simplifies bearing mounting, maintenance and inspection. A certain limited axial displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated within the bearing.

SKF four-row cylindrical roller bearings have a cylindrical bore and some sizes are also available with tapered bore. Bearings with tapered bore can be adjusted during mounting to give a certain radial internal clearance or a defined preload.

It is well known that China BRG bearings is the authorized SKF TQI  bearings agency in China, who has a broad range of SKF TQI bearings in stock, all of them are with high quality and competitive prices.

Frankly speaking, TQI bearings have two paired rows of rollers arranged back-to-back. Their use is limited, being primarily where high stiffness is required and considerable tilting moments have to be accommodated. The bearings are generally mounted with an interference fit on the roll necks and therefore often have a tapered bore. The bearings are also used for the vertical rolls of universal mills; in this case the outer rings are mounted with an interference fit in the chocks and the inner rings have a loose fit on their seat.

Because of their limited application, only a few sizes and designs are produced by SKF. The designs described in the following and shown with pictures.

TQIN design
Bearing with two single row inner rings and one double row inner ring with roller and cage assemblies. Steel window-type cages and four single row outer rings.

TQI design
Bearing with two single row inner rings and one double row inner ring with roller and cage assemblies. Steel window-type cages and two double row outer rings with an intermediate ring between them.

TQIT design
Bearing with two single row inner rings and one double row inner ring with tapered bore (taper 1:12 o r 1:30) with roller and cage assemblies. Steel window-type cages and two double row outer rings with an intermediate ring between them. Bearings with a tapered bore are used when an interference fit is required for the inner rings on the roll neck.

NNF bearings is one type of Double Row Full Complement Cylindrical Roller Bearings, with an annular groove and three lubrication holes in the outer ring to facilitate efficient lubrication , incorporate a maximum number of rollers and are therefo re suitable for very heavy radial loads. At the same time, they cannot operate at the same high speeds as caged cylindrical roller bearings.

NNF bearings in the NNF 50 and 3194(00) series are always sealed on both sides and filled with grease. The two-piece inner ring has three integral flanges and is held together by a retaining ring. The outer ring has an integral central flange. NNF bearings can be used to locate a shaft axially in both directions. Because of the large distance between the two rows of rollers, the bearings are also able to accommodate tilting moments.

The bearings are filled with greases, which have good rust inhibiting properties. Under certain conditions, sealed NNF design bearings are maintenance-free, but if they operate in a moist or contaminated environment, or if speeds are moderate to high, they must be relubricated. This can be done through the inner as well as the outer ring.

If bearings with one or no seals are required, the seals may be removed easily with a screwdriver. For applications where oil lubrication is to be used, the bearings can be delivered without seals and grease if economic quantities are involved. Otherwise the seals should be removed and the bearings washed before use. If oil lubrication is used, the limiting speed quoted in the product tables can be increased by approximately 30%.
